Beneficial-owner and stakeholder instructions screen from the source

RoleSource explanation and notes
Legal representativeThe screenshot uses this term for an individual authorised to sign for the company and states a minimum age of 18. Confirm who qualifies using the company's authorisation and the onboarding team's requirements.
Ultimate beneficial owner (UBO)The screenshot describes an individual who directly or indirectly owns 25% or more of the company's shares. This repeats that interface description; it is not a complete determination rule for all jurisdictions or forms of control.
Holding companyThe screenshot also requests information on holding companies with direct or indirect ownership of 25% or more, with a separate navigation section. Detailed filing and document requirements are not shown.
DirectorThe next source step is titled Upload director documents, but it does not explain how director and UBO roles are selected. Do not classify someone as a UBO solely because they are a director.
  1. Use company documents to prepare a list of people and ownership relationships, distinguishing individuals from corporate shareholders. Document each layer of indirect ownership.
  2. Open Ultimate beneficial owners, read the current instructions and select Add an ultimate beneficial owner (UBO).
  3. Enter each applicable person using the live form and check that all required people are covered.
  4. Confirm the process for corporate shareholders, no person meeting the displayed shareholding condition or a person with several roles through the current instructions or onboarding team.

Do not omit the section when nobody meets the shareholding condition. The screenshot requests information on an individual who can represent the company in an equivalent capacity, but does not specify the person, role option or complete procedure. Confirm this with the onboarding team.

Check before continuing: Directors, representatives, UBOs and corporate shareholders are distinguished, the list is complete, and uncertain classifications have been confirmed.
